CIVIC CENTRE

Network Installation Solutions Ltd have recently completed a major upgrade of facilities at Wigan Civic Centre over four floors. The installation comprised the removal of existing cabling infrastructure and replacing with new 1U Hellermann-Tyton 48 way patch panels and 1196 Hellermann-Tyton Cat5e data points patch panel to data outlet as part of an upgrade of the existing data and electrical infrastructure. New 3-compartment trunking was installed for the provision of data and electrical services. Because of the need of Wigan MBC to keep the working environment operational during the installation, works were carried out by NIS Ltd engineers during evenings and weekends to minimise disruption.

UPGRADES IN LOCAL AUTHORITY BUILDINGS

Network Installation Solutions Ltd has recently completed a data installation upgrade at Larch Avenue Day Centre in Wigan comprising 154 data links patch panel to dual data points as part of a complete refurbishment of the existing premises.

This work is only a small part of the upgrade and refurbishment of schools and Local Authority buildings within the Borough, for example NIS Ltd has completed the installation of video conferencing facilities at 110 schools in the area. Additionally, IT suites have been installed complete with desking and other furniture.

WIGAN INVESTMENT CENTRE

Network Installation Solutions Ltd has completed an IT infrastructure install over 2 floors at the Wigan Investment Centre including 90 Hellermann Tyton Cat5E data outlets and 72 telephone points. The existing patch panels were stripped out and replaced and all data points were tested. To minimise disruption, works were carried out during weekend hours.
