O2 plc are a leading provider of mobile services, offering communications solutions to customers and corporations in the UK Germany and Ireland. They also operate businesses on the Isle of Man and own O2 Airwave, an advanced, digital emergency communication service.

LEEDS - arlington

Network Installation Solutions Ltd has a excellent working relationship with O2 and is currently involved cabling a major head office/call centre in Leeds. This involves the installation of over 4,000 Krone Cat5E UTP data points, plus associated fibre optics and voice implementation.

Due to extensive refurbishment works on Suites G and H at the headquarters of O2, the existing voice and data infrastructure was stripped out and NIS Ltd were selected to design and implement a new voice/data system. The task facing NIS Ltd was to carry out the installation within the environment of a fully operational call centre causing minimum disruption to O2 operations. NIS Ltd engineers have taken on this challenge with their usual professionalism and to date have completed over 50% of the install. Watch this space!

GLASGOW SKYPARKS

Phases 1 & 2 of this project have now been completed by Network Installation Solutions Ltd at a major O2 call centre in Glasgow. Phase 1 involved a complete refit of an existing facility and phase 2 consisted of a new build on two floors. Over 7,000 Krone Cat5E data points have been installed plus associated fibre optic cable and telephone cabling. Links have also been installed to plasma screens.
